Istanbulin

The oyun havaları or "dance tunes," were typical of the period. In "İstanbulin ," my goal was to take typical examples from that period along with their 20th-century extensions, and bring them into the 21st century within a completely new arrangement. In this album, the major works of Turkish instrumental music have entered the violin repertoire, and I present them with the hope that the audience will enjoy them.

Askin Ensemble

Askin Ensemble was founded by Cihat Askin in 2007, with an aim to fulfill the needs of variety of quality music, develop chamber music projects, bring an exceptional interpretation to music and to support growing young musicians.

Cihat Askin and Little Friends (CAKA)

We have aimed to create a unique system in Turkey with the CAKA project. A creative and productive approach which is respectful to the local culturel values while developing the ability and humanity of the student and progressing the standart of thinking. Everyone has a talent of his own, so everyone can produce art. Everyone can play an instrument and this is a way of life. There is no limit for anything so to play the violin and there is no limit to catch the happiness.
